この鉄橋は、水質が良く水浴びに適したことで知られるガレイゾン川を渡っています。

Fort Vauban in Alès is one of the city's oldest buildings and sits atop the Butte de la Roque, a hill overlooking the city – perfect for a cultural stop during a hike or bike ride. The fort dates back to 1688. The U-shaped complex features approximately 350 meters of defensive walls, six bastions, and 40 gun ports. It consists of two main buildings, including quarters for the governor, a chapel, and soldiers. The fort is a listed historical monument.

Attention! The stretch between Le Tavernes and Vézénobres is absolutely not suitable for touring bikes! Steep sections with large stones or slopes with fine gravel, almost invisible overgrown paths, over an old railway bridge with "no access". We did it with a touring bike🫣
