THE LINGEKOPF. AN EXTRAORDINARY MEMORIAL OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR IN ALSACE On July 20, 1915, a short but bloody battle began that lasted only three months but claimed the lives of nearly 20,000 young Germans and French, with the aim of conquering the heights of the Lingekopf in the Vosges Mountains. The Memorial du Linge revives this tragedy. Visitors are first shown a short film explaining the geopolitical background of this battle. This is followed by a visit to a museum that is generally considered an authentic witness to the mountain fighting. Concluding the tour is a tour of the very well-preserved German trenches. The shelters and battle stations, which still exist today, allow visitors to step back into that era and imagine what the soldiers must have experienced during those months. Excerpt from Du Linge's project

6月 29, 2025, Église Notre-Dame-du-Haut
The Église Notre-Dame-de-l’Annonciation in Trois-Épis is a modernist pilgrimage site built in 1968 on the site of a centuries-old Marian devotion. The church commemorates the apparition of the Virgin Mary to the blacksmith Thierry Schœré in 1491, when she showed him three ears of wheat – the symbol of the village. The building is striking for its brutalism: rough concrete forms, slatted arches and stained glass windows by the artist Camille Hilaire. Next to the church stands a striking sculptural tower with three columns, symbolizing the three ears of wheat. It is a spiritual and architectural stop on the slopes above Colmar, with a view over Alsace.

Maison Ferber is home to Christine Ferber, known worldwide as the “jam queen of Alsace”. In her studio in the picturesque wine village of Niedermorschwihr, she creates artisanal jams that are beloved by top chefs such as Alain Ducasse and the greatest hotels in Paris. Her jams are made in small batches – a maximum of 4 kg of fruit at a time – in copper cauldrons, which ensures an intense flavour and refined texture 1 2. In addition to jams, the shop also offers pastries, chocolate, ice cream and fine regional products. A culinary stop that perfectly combines tradition, craftsmanship and Alsatian charm.

Niedermorschwihr is a charming and colourful wine village in Alsace, nestled on the slopes of the Vosges Mountains among the vineyards, just a few kilometres from Colmar. The village is known for its traditional half-timbered houses, narrow streets and especially the unique twisted tower of the Saint-Gall-et-Saint-Wendelin church – a rare architectural phenomenon in the region. Niedermorschwihr is also home to the famous “jam queen” Christine Ferber, whose preserves are loved worldwide. Thanks to its location on the Route des Vins, it is an atmospheric and authentic stop on a cycle route through Alsace.

5月 25, 2025, Trois-Épis Climatic Resort
Trois-Épis is a small, historic place of pilgrimage in the Vosges, situated on a mountainside above Alsace. The village was founded in the 15th century after an apparition of Mary and has developed into a spiritual place with a serene atmosphere. Above the village stands the monumental statue of Christ by Le Galtz, erected in 1930 to commemorate the reunification of Alsace with France. From here you have an impressive view of the Alsace plain, the Black Forest and, in clear weather, even the Alps.
