A 50-km paved bike path, straight along the canal. And without any traffic of any kind. Cycling along it was simply fantastic ❗️❗️❗️

At 73 meters high, with a top speed of up to 130 km/h and enormous centrifugal forces of up to 4 g, it promises a special combination of sensation, speed, and weightlessness, while simultaneously representing a technological quantum leap.

The original building was built in 1844/45, but at that time it did not have a turret. This was only added in 1892. In 1989 the building was demolished due to its age and rebuilt in its original dimensions. The preserved tower was added to the new building and the facade was adapted to the modern era.
