Magnificent lake! Accessible to all! As a bonus, you'll find ibexes and a few marmots if you're lucky. For the more courageous, you can climb to an altitude of 2,900 m by continuing on the path with a magnificent view if the sky is clear!

The Robert Lakes are very beautiful, and the mountain range surrounding them creates a magnificent setting. The spot seems popular with campers (arrive early for the best spot). The GR trail between Chamrousse Le Recoin and the Robert Lakes, which passes by Lac des Prouettes, is quite difficult (steep) on the Robert Lakes side. The trail higher up the mountain is easier (beware of the scree slopes for those with short legs).

A magnificent spot, and for those who don't want to hike up, it's accessible with almost no elevation gain from the top of the Croix de Chamrousse cable cars. For a complete immersion, watch the video: https://youtu.be/sU4Xn-MHkGA

Breathtaking view from the Himalayan footbridge of Chamrousse. The four lakes sparkle at the bottom of the cirque, at the foot of the Petit Van, the Grand Van and the Grand Sorbier.

A small mountain lake at 1810 meters above sea level that often goes unnoticed due to its proximity to Roberts Lakes. Keep your eyes peeled for an alpine newt, and cut some pourettes (chives) for your evening meal.

A magnificent high mountain lake. Be careful on the climb to access the lake because it passes several small streams which can be difficult to cross when the snow melts and after heavy rains (until the end of June).

It's difficult to choose what to be charmed by: either by the Himalayan footbridge of the Croix de Chamrousse, or by the view of the Roberts lakes.
