Built on the remains of the Gallo-Roman city of Caesarodunum, Saint-Gatien Cathedral stands in the heart of the city. This city was once one of the most famous places of pilgrimage in the West and is still one of the capitals of the Pays de Loire. From Easter to 11 November, you can meet the volunteers of the Présence Cathédrale association in the cathedral. You can recognise them by their badges. This small town in Vouvrillon, dazzling with the white tuffeau stones that adorn its town center, is a little jewel of Loire paradise. Several renowned wine growers live on its hillsides. La Cave des Producteurs de Vouvray, created in 1953. The cellar has around thirty enthusiasts with nearly 400 ha of vines spread throughout the Vouvray appellation. The Vouvray AOP appellation is located in the Loire Valley, the third largest French wine-growing region (approximately 70,000 hectares).
