Pretty little quiet hamlet nestled between Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt and Gargas.

Very natural, great hike! However, I would like to point out that access to the mines is PROHIBITED; there have already been numerous landslides, and it's important not to disturb the few bats that live there... So stick to the marked trails :)

The hike includes various curiosities to see from the ochre quarries to the castle of St Saturnin les Apt. The return route includes road but no elevation change except just before the arrival! Only one difficult passage at the junction of a path and a road where the slope is steep to go down!

Access to the three cavities is currently reported as prohibited (November 2024).

The old mines converted into mushroom farms are worth visiting with a powerful enough lamp to fully enjoy the place.

The primitive village of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt which dates from the 10th century is very impressive. It is especially its defensive walls that arouse admiration. It dominates the current village and offers spectacular views.
