Andernos and its small port! Really a great place to eat oysters and be quiet (compared to Arcachon!)

The port of Fontainevieille offers 200 berths for small boats. To the north, the town of Fontainevieille and to the south, the Lanton beach. A stone's throw away is a restaurant located between the port and the ocean.

The Church of Saint-Eloi is of Romanesque origin. Its original plan included an apse, preceded by a straight span, a nave and a transept. Two aisles were added, as well as a late 19th century bell tower, placed east of the Romanesque apse. The Romanesque carved decoration from the beginning of the 12th century is of high quality: capitals decorated with water leaves, cornices carved with interlacing, palmettes, florets. The north apse is covered with wall paintings from the end of the Middle Ages. On a background strewn with stars and flowers of carnations or lilies, made with a stencil, we can especially distinguish three kneeling or standing figures who hold an animal or objects which are perhaps candles.

A magnificent bay which embraces the entire Arcachon basin. Easy access even to beginners in cycling by the cycle paths which go around the basin.
