Hi. A lovely little hike, very pleasant, skirting the Orcines golf course, one of the most beautiful mountain golf courses in Europe. Stunning views of the Chaîne des Puys.

A very beautiful walk with lots of paths and trails in the undergrowth. No particular difficulties. However, be careful of two descents with rolling stones. We did this route the day after a storm and some places were muddy. I recommend this outing.

Magnificent scenery, soft but passable terrain at all times. Smile as there are many walkers.

The first slopes of the Massif Central offer a beautiful playground for mountain biking on a terrain that is neither too flat nor too steep. The views of the valley are delightful, like here where you can see Riom and Ménétrol.

As you walk along the Gouris path, you will have a breathtaking view of the Puy de Dôme, one of the most iconic volcanoes in the Auvergne region. At over 1,400 metres, the Puy de Dôme dominates the horizon with its characteristic rounded shape. As you pass it, you are sometimes rewarded with a ring of mist around its summit on cold mornings, which creates a magical experience.

Please note that Châteaugay is one of the five crus in the AOC Cotes d’Auvergne. The other crus are Boudes, Corent, Chanturgue and Madargue. The authorized grape varieties are; Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. To be consumed in moderation

As is often the case, the trails at the foot of the puys alternate between pleasant forest paths and views of the Puys chain and the Puy de Dôme.
