Lovely greenway for cyclists. Pleasant setting.

A surprising and unusual location where a canal crosses over a river. The view is surprising and offers a beautiful panorama.

This greenway is part of a project to create a loop of the Moselle River, which will ultimately offer a 60km route along the rivers and canals in the Nancy region. A very pleasant and exotic route away from any traffic.

The Villey-le-Sec Dam offers a great mix of stunning scenery and challenges for road cyclists. Located on the Moselle River, you'll ride on well-maintained paths and enjoy views of this relaxing river.

Beautiful cycle path along the Canal de Vosges.

The lock and dam are managed by Voies Navigables de France. Construction of the hydroelectric power plant began in May 1986. It is attached to the dam. As the name suggests, the structure is used to generate electricity by taking advantage of the waterfall caused by the dam. The power plant does not operate during periods of high or low water. In these caves you are supposed to have strong knees because the passages in the caves are very low.

The cycle path leads here on a dam between the Canal des Vosges and the Moselle. Very well paved and lined with beautiful, old plane trees.
