Very beautiful village. Remarkable church and medieval bridge.

The tower of Sermur captures the imagination. From the valley below, you can see it perched atop the village. A steep climb takes you to the center of Sermur, where you then climb a pleasant unpaved path to the foot of the tower. Stunning views over the region await.

This town, whose history dates back to the 5th century, is full of legends and anecdotes. Thus, during the Hundred Years' War, the inhabitants decided not to fight the English but to receive them equipped with tools topped with goat's horns. The beautiful Chevanne house houses the aviation museum dedicated to Creuse aviators.

The history of the castle dates back at least to 1195, when it was owned by the Durat family. It is classified as a historic monument. But it was the subject of reconstruction between the 16th and 19th centuries.

The imposing Sainte-Valérie abbey church displays Romanesque art in its most beautiful light. Inside we find the reliquary bust of Sainte-Valérie.

This Benedictine abbey is considered one of the most important Romanesque buildings in Limousin. It is old, since it was founded in 857.

The village of Chambon-sur-Voueize is home to rich historical architecture. Indeed, you can visit an impressive abbey, the Sainte-Valérie Abbey Church and admire many old houses and the Romanesque bridge which is classified as a Historic Monument.
