Beautiful old bridge. The bridge's base is completely paved with cobblestones.

It is not a Roman bridge but a Romanesque bridge and that makes a substantial difference of a few centuries!

Pleasant little body of water about 1km in circumference. An ideal site for taking a break during a mountain bike ride in Combrailles.

The Chouvigny gorges follow the Sioule river, which has carved a deep and narrow gorge through the volcanic rocks of the Combrailles region. You'll enjoy views of lush greenery, towering cliffs and the medieval Chouvigny Castle, which dates from the 13th century. You can also stop at the village of Chouvigny, which has a rich history and charming atmosphere.

Central gateway to the Allier department, in the center of France Montmarault offers all the amenities for a stopover. To see: the Camus castle, the Saint-Étienne church, the small ponds of Miquet and Mazelier and the Allier railway museum! Many bakeries and restaurants.

12th century Romanesque church in limestone, with a strong Burgundian influence in its architecture. Cemetery with water point nearby.

Magnificent region. The banks of the Sioule as a walk to the bridge of Menat, also the castle of Veauce and the forest of Colettes. Made during the federal week of St POurcain sur Sioule, for me often starting from St Eloi les mines.
