Unfortunately, you can't see much of the castle itself. But if you walk around it, you can at least catch a glimpse of some details. You can see more, especially in winter when the leaves have fallen. If you want to see more, you'll have to visit the castle grounds for one of the advertised events with a ticket.

The symbol of the region: the green water droplet. It can be found again and again in the Güssing district. For example, here in a prominent spot in the middle of the roundabout, with a view of the castle.

A beautiful old press and a perfect place to stop for a break during a hike. For example, before tackling the short climb to the Maria Weinberg pilgrimage church.

What more can be said? Just wait for a sunny day, hike through the vineyards, enjoy the Uhudler wine and/or the view. It doesn't get any better than that :)

Lots of beautiful old cellar houses and the view is lovely too. We hiked through here and enjoyed it very much.

A truly beautiful church. More or less hidden away in the vineyards of Gaas, but a hike up here is definitely worthwhile.
