The 17th-century Château de la Roche, with its tower and keep, is the landmark of the Loire Gorge. Its atypical location in the heart of the Loire River makes it an exceptional sight.

The town hall is a historic building serving the town's residents. At the suggestion of the Duke of Persigny, the mayor of Roanne, Charles Boullier, decided to build a new town hall for the entire population. Work began in 1865 and was completed in 1874.
