One of the most beautiful viewpoints over the Alps that I know! Access from the Col de la Faucille is quite simple.

Beautiful views all around, but especially of Lake Geneva. You should have a good camera and various lenses with you. I was at this viewpoint for the first time in October 1976.

The secrets of ancient Geneva, Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Genève A gripping testimony to the early Christian era, an important period in the development of Christianity. Beneath St. Peter's Cathedral lie the remains of the churches that preceded it, the oldest of which dates from the late 4th century: but there are also pre-Christian traces of the settlement on this hill: wells, wheat processing area, a building probably used for cult purposes, Allobroges' tomb. Several rooms have been specially set up and present one of the most important archaeological sites north of the Alps using modern museographic techniques. Free audio guide available in French, German, English, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Genève The architecture of the Saint Pierre Cathedral has undergone numerous changes over the course of history. The first construction phase dates back to 1160 and lasted almost a century. During the Reformation period, it served as a Protestant church from 1535. The strenuous climb up the 157 steps to the top of the tower is rewarded with a breathtaking 360° panoramic view of the city and the lake. The church also has the highest number of Romanesque and Gothic capitals in Switzerland. Beneath the cathedral is the archaeological excavation site, where remains from antiquity can be seen. The Jet d'eau fountain - which shouldn't be one With its 140 m height, the Jet d'Eau has become a real symbol of Geneva over time. History has it that the famous Geneva fountain is practically a product of chance. In 1886, the hydroelectric power station that brought the energy of the Rhone to Geneva's craftsmen and watchmakers was forced to release the excess water pressure into the open air when the workshops closed in the evening. The place sparked so much enthusiasm and enthusiasm that the Jet d'Eau saw the light of day. Text / Source: Geneva Tourism, Genève https://www.geneve.com/en/experience/attractions/the-big-top-10
