A very gentle descent with many false flats, the landscape is magnificent and varied. We also cross a small forest which can be a little dark.

A road with views of the Jura, Geneva, Mont Blanc, and Salève, right in the heart of the Pays de Gex. I even happened to spot deer at the edge of the woods.

Gravel area but no problems with a road bike

"Privisins" was the name of a priory located in the deanery of Aubonne which grouped the parishes of the diocese of Geneva, north of the Rhône. This road is named after the French village to which it leads. A large part of this road saw heavy traffic between Switzerland and France; then it was closed to motor vehicles in 2011 to make way for an unpaved road. This is the first dismantling of a road in Switzerland in favor of nature.

Lac des Vernes is a rainwater retention basin in Meyrin. This lake is used to regulate the flooding of the Nant-d'Avril. It was inaugurated on June 10, 2017.
