Passage through the cycle lane possible with a two-seater child trailer (Thule Cross)

Perched on a rocky promontory, the village of Pujols is listed among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France." It overlooks the Lot and Mail valleys. Its medieval streets, stronghold, and imposing fortifications make this a charming place for a stroll.

Very beautiful little medieval village. There is also a beautiful view from the top.

Be careful, there is a footbridge that serves as a cycle path, but its width is limited and does not allow pedestrians and cyclists to cross. It is unthinkable to use it with an electric bike with 70 cm handlebars... It is better to ride on the bridge, especially since there is a road sign authorizing cyclists at the entrance to the bridge... It seems that not all motorists know this sign.

On Saturday we experience a colorful hustle and bustle in this town with a large market on the town square of this bastide. The Sainte-Catherine church has been closed for two years for renovation (Sept. 2024).

Took a turn to Pujols. Here we are under the tower of Pujols. Should be included in the route. Quite a sturdy clamp, you know. (Just on TURBO that e-bike).

Old fortified castle, located on a rocky promontory, defending the village of Beauville. It is made up of thick surrounding walls, a protective half-moon. The foundations and bases date from the end of the 13th century. About half of the building dates from the 16th century (mullioned windows). The Renaissance architecture is present in the front door and the fireplaces. Finally, a wing of the building was rebuilt in the 19th century. From 1831 to 1976, the building served as a gendarmerie barracks. Private castle. Can only be seen from the outside. By the way, don't forget to enjoy the beautiful views outside from this high vantage point.
