The reserve is also home to a spectacular tuff formation phenomenon, where calcium carbonate deposits create waterfalls and pools of water. The Gorges de la Vingeanne are a canyon carved out by the Vingeanne river in the Haute-Marne department in France. This site is part of the Natura 2000 network, which aims to protect biodiversity and natural habitats.
