St. Peter's Church in Pritzier is a neo-Gothic brick church built in 1852. It replaced an older fieldstone church, which was first mentioned in the Ratzeburg tithe register in 1230. Particularly noteworthy are the gravestones embedded in the tower entrance and the damaged church bell from 1649. The current bell dates from 1868 and is still rung by hand. In 1993, the church was renovated, and historic leaded glass windows from the 15th century were reinstated.

As of May 2025, the bridge is still closed, its structural condition has deteriorated significantly since last year and will probably never be passable again 🤔

The current church was built between 1875 and 1879 in the center of the old town on the foundations of a previous building. Between 1974 and 1977, it was extensively remodeled with funding from one of the GDR's church building programs, at a cost of 480,000 Deutschmarks. It is a cruciform church (architecture) according to the building standards of the Eisenach regulations.

Hagenow City Church is the local church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hagenow. The parish belongs to the Parchim provostship in the Mecklenburg church district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany (Northern Church).

Unfortunately, it's currently closed (due to renovation work?). However, a short detour via the village street leads directly to the (cycle) path on the other side of the Sude River.
