Originally a medieval fortress, the castle was later converted into a bastioned fortification. It has a rich history and has been owned by various noble families over the years, including the famous Dukes of Guise. Today, the castle is open to the public and offers a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of military architecture over hundreds of years.

The Notre-Dame de Vervins church is a historic monument located in the Aisne department, in the Hauts-de-France region. It was built in a flamboyant Gothic style fortified in the 17th century, on the remains of an older church dating from the 11th century. It has a facade with a brick bell tower porch, a transept with side chapels, a choir with a flat apse and a nave with three naves. The interior of the church is decorated with murals and stained glass windows depicting scenes from the lives of Christ and the Virgin. The church has been classified as a historic monument since 1975.

The Familistère consisted of 558 apartments and 350 houses. The building had a central courtyard under a glass roof. The residents had a very comfortable and luxurious life. All houses and apartments had running water, a rubbish chute and two toilets. There were also allotment gardens, nurseries and schools. Because Jean-Baptiste André Godin was against child labour, every child could go to school.
