Suspended between lake, vineyard and mountain, the medieval village of La Neuveville is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. In the old town, enjoy the beautiful colorful facades, the superb views of the cliffs and Lake Biel, and the small cobbled streets.

Rustic bridge where you drive over grid plates that rattle quite a bit.

Fast descent with 8-12%, where you "fly" through the gorge. After the forest, you have a fantastic view of Lake Biel with the village of Twann at your feet. The uphill is of course much nicer, you can really enjoy it :-).

It's interesting to watch when a ship is being locked through. The ship lock attached to the Port regulating weir enables shipping between Solothurn and the Jura lakes. The ship lock is located on the right bank of the Nidau-Büren canal. It is 11.5 meters wide and has a usable length of 52 meters.
