Nice view of the monastery. This is where you go up if this is a destination on the route. A good 3 kilometers with a gradient of up to 6%. Once you get to the top, there are also restaurants and places to sleep. Good for a stop when packing your bike. Please note the opening times.

Seehausen is rightly named and is located on the Seehäuser Lake. The beautiful painting on the little house by the lake is also interesting. The lake is about 634 hectares in size and there is a beautiful circular path around the lake.

The GDR's border barriers are not located directly on the border line. This lies between the actual border and the front barriers “upstream territory” of the GDR. There are no border or security facilities here. From 1967 onwards, the GDR border troops used the “upstream” to mark the actual border Territory" border columns painted black, red and yellow with the GDR emblem. They mark the border 3 to 5 meters east of the border line, which lies in the middle of the Aue stream in Hötensleben. Only specially trained "border reconnaissance officers" from the border troops who are considered to be particularly reliable are allowed to enter the territory of the GDR that is visible towards the Federal Republic. They are tasked with observing customs and federal border protection in the Federal Republic.

A very impressive monument that you should take in in peace and quiet. The place is also very well chosen with a wonderful all-round view of the beautiful landscape. There is also a bench for a rest. Everything just fits. A real highlight!!!

It belongs to a cycle with three other sculptures: Sola Scriptura in Salzgitter-Lesse, Solus Christus in Braunschweig-Bienrode and Sola Fide in Hornburg Sculpture unveiled in Groß Denkte | Evangelical Lutheran Church in Braunschweig

This bike path is a must on the B79. He is also quite OK, albeit a bit narrow and sometimes bumpy. Roots and cracks perpendicular to the direction of travel. The usual. In the direction of Gr. Denke finally goes down again properly, so caution is advised here. But the view south towards the Harz Mountains is nice, albeit dependent on the weather.
