If you're looking for a peaceful and scenic hike in the Eure-et-Loir department, you should check out Les étangs de Fontenay-sur-Eure. This trail takes you around several ponds created from former quarries and which are now home to a rich and varied fauna. You will be able to enjoy the view of the water, the trees and the birds throughout your walk. The trail is easy to follow and suitable for all levels of hikers.

Nice walk along the pond. Trails make it easy to go around the body of water. There are benches, play areas for children. It is a popular spot with local residents.

Lovely sport for a picnic by the river and ford

On the trail of Véloscénie, a peaceful corner by the water for a picnic between the weeping willows. Quiet path, little passage and stone bench.

5.1 ha body of water located in the Eure valley 15 minutes from Chartres town centre. Reciprocal and populated by most pond fish. A population of predators (pike, zander and perch) makes it possible to alternate techniques.

Built in 1768, the castle was extended a century later, then used as a boarding school around the 1950s. The castle was bought in 2004 by the Boulard family who restored it. Since then, it is possible to rent it for seminars or weddings. A 22-hectare park surrounds two guest rooms and is home to wallabies and some unusual animals.
