The anchor is a part of the "Chemin des ancres" (“Anchor Path”) at the Musée Mémorial de la Bataille de l’Atlantique, located on the site of the historic Batterie de Kerbonn near Pointe de Pen‑Hir, Brittany, France. The Vauban Tower was designed to guard the entrance to the Brest Strait and prevent landings in the Bay of Camaret. Still unfinished, it was put to its baptism of fire on June 18, 1694. The chapel has been a listed building since March 4, 1935. This low chapel is 25 m long and 13.5 m wide. In Logonna stone, it has a nave that extends into a choir and a sacristy to the north-east. The two aisles each have 4 arches (full arch and pointed arch).
