The church is definitely worth a visit because of the colorful and bright windows. The church once served as a prison camp for German soldiers.

Considered by some to be one of the most beautiful castles of the 19th century, it was built in a neo-Louis XIII style between 1882 and 1887 on the ruins of an old castle destroyed during the Battle of Villersexel in 1871. Its furniture dates also from this period. Now private, it can be visited between April and October. It also serves as a reception venue for weddings or events.

A sturdy bridge over the Ognon River where you can meet up with a group of other cyclists. The Ognon is a left tributary of the Saône and therefore a sub-tributary of the Rhône. The Ognon crosses ninety-eight communes. In Villersexel you can find many activities linked to this river: leisure center, canoeing, reception lodge...

There you will take an intimate walk through the forest using tunnels made of trees. You can take a forest bath and enjoy the sound of the trees in the wind and the surrounding wildlife.
