This old station has been beautifully restored and transformed into a bucolic home.

It is to its "builder" mayor, Théophile MICHEL, elected in 1888, that Jonquières Saint Vincent owes its astonishing and majestic town hall: facing the disapproval of a part of the population worried about the high cost of the project in the midst of a wine crisis, he entrusted the Nîmes architect Auguste AUGIERE with the design of the building, which resembles a medieval castle. The Town Hall was inaugurated with great pomp on August 30, 1903 by Gaston DOUMERGUE, then deputy of the constituency and Minister of the Colonies.

beautiful sleepy town in with everything needed - little shop/cafe/church. Seems to be far away from everywhere which makes it even more attractive. Great gravel riding roads around it; not ideal for road bikes but a dream, for people liking gravel riding.
