The building is a former chapel of the Commandery of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. You can enjoy the shaded park behind it after filling your water bottles at the municipal water point, as the town hall and the church share the square.

On the road leading west out of the village, crossing the Charente River towards La Terne, this bridge offers a clear view of the river and the riverside properties. A true postcard of the department and the river, if your route passes over this bridge.

The highest point in the commune of Mons (142m), an orientation table, painted in 1997, was installed facing south, with its back to the Montbrun woods. The latter houses a botanical garden.

An uncovered structure, it consists of two basins with inclined walls, attached to its well. A small adjoining square allows agricultural machinery to draw water from it, or for passing travelers to stop there.

Here you are in the Tusson and Villejesus forest. This is classified as a natural area of ecological, fauna and flora interest. The oaks are very present. By taking the time to silently observe the nature around you, you may come across some animal species. Many raptors find refuge there.
