A perfect crossing point through the Jura area. A nice and gentle climb up to 1033m quite doable from both sides.

The route climbs at an average rate, although it also reaches a peak of 11% (briefly). Overall, it's a very pleasant ride, and the forest provides shade when needed, making the climb more bearable. Overall, it's a better alternative for cyclists than the main D47 road via Les Gras directly towards Pontarlier. It's also less busy and offers more variety, alternating between meadows and forest sections.
