The climb is very demanding, you have to pay attention to the asphalt which is not in good condition on both sides. The view of the lake is magnificent.

Sections of the circular road around the Lac de Serre Ponçon feature in the mountain bike tour of the lake, linking the sections of off-road. Never are they dull as evidenced on this section, as you wind through inland peaks and views of the lake as you exit the other side. Be mindful however that this road is busy in the high season.

Near the Serre-Ponçon dam, you can enjoy this picturesque and dizzying road with almost no traffic to overlook the Blanche River. Be careful on the road though, it is not uncommon for small landslides to occur and stones to be found in the middle of it.
