12/2025：「自然保護林」としての指定に言及し、森林管理事務所はすべての橋を交換なしで撤去しました。道は廃止されていませんが、溝を乗り越えなければならず、自転車では非常に困難です。この措置はReinfeld市とは調整されていませんでした。市議会は現在、橋の再建に努めています。

The Herrenteich Pond is located in the heart of the carp town of Reinfeld. It was artificially created in the 12th century by Cistercian monks as a reservoir for the Heilsau River for fish farming. Carp are still bred here today. The Herrenteich in Reinfeld is a popular tourist destination. The approximately 55-hectare body of water is divided into the upper and lower Herrenteich. The upper Herrenteich remains a recognized nature reserve. The lower Herrenteich is home to, among other things, a hiking trail and an outdoor pool in the summer. Due to melting snow, the Herrenteich flooded in early March 2010. A temporary dam erected at the time due to construction work threatened to no longer hold the water masses. A breach of the dam would have flooded the entire hinterland. The Hamburg/Lübeck railway embankment would also have been affected. The existence of cycle paths is of course always to be welcomed, especially when they are in such a pristine condition (as far as I can tell from the short sections that are necessary to cross the road) 👍 When things have to go quickly, mountain bikers are also happy. But a finely asphalted cycle path is definitely not a MTB-specific highlight! There are so many more species-appropriate alternatives! In the south along the Trave, in the north through the forests (which is also shown in the numerous photos that have been added here incorrectly).

The interesting part is now overgrown with branches from numerous small beech trees on both sides. From above, the path is no longer visible under the leaves and snow, but from below it is still visible. However, the ascent is not particularly attractive and the beech trees punish you with whiplashes - and that even in winter...
