Here, a teacher from Lasalle who had lost many members of his family (including his son) during the 14-18 war had a hundred cedars planted in their homage.

Lasalle is a village which has a strong dynamism and which teems with ideas. The wild and popular university, for example, offers the concept of a café – do-it-yourself. The village has many points of interest: 19th century temple, old spinning mills, castles and a very beautiful old bridge spanning the Salindrenque river.

This village has a listed monument: the castle of Castellas. Its origin goes back a long way because it is located on the site of an ancient Roman oppidum. It was from the year 864 that a Carolingian fortress was erected, which the locals called Castellas in the Occitan language. This castle has been registered as a historical monument since December 26, 1980. It cannot be visited because it is a private residence.

Obviously in autumn the road takes on an enchanting air with the chestnut bugs on the wet road....
