Don't forget mosquito spray. The many small ponds are a mosquito Eldorado. You can also fish in the large lake. Dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the Landscape Park, but there are places on the lake where you can let them swim with a tow leash.

Beautiful arcades support four 14th-century houses, remnants of a covered market. The Hôtel de ville is housed in stylish 17th to 19th century buildings of an old canon's monastery. The covered colonnade around the Lavoir des Fontaines, the washhouse from 1784, is decorated with beautiful gargoyles. (Michelin)

Gateway to the Cotentin peninsula and "capital of the marshes", it is located in the middle of beautiful green landscapes, home to the cattle and horses that have made the region famous. Due to the many livestock farms, Carentan is an important livestock trading center and one of the largest centers of the dairy industry in the department of Manche. The city was heavily bombed in June 1944, however some beautiful monuments have been preserved in the center.

Built in 1991 by volunteers, this hall (made of earth and fibers) houses the remains of a fossil barge. Built in 1908, this flat-bottomed boat was one of the last to sail on the Taute, mainly for transporting the pitch. Source: https://parc-cotentin-bessin.fr
