This castle is located on a rocky spur which dominates the upper valley of the Lot. It was destroyed by the Huguenots during the wars of religion. Of the former seat of the family of the barons of Tournel, only ruins remain. They are impressive, as several towers are still standing. Restoration work takes place regularly in order to preserve this historical heritage.

The Château de Charbonnières, located in a meander of the Tarn, was once more heavily fortified and was part of a network of fortifications that stretched all along the Tarn.

Trail taking the draille de la Margeride (old transhumance path which allowed herds to be taken to the high plateaus during the summer). The Issenges manor, sometimes called Issenges castle, is a fortified house dating from the Middle Ages.
