A very beautiful beach dominated by a Genoese tower, the Albo tower. Originally built in 1562 to serve the protection of the navy of Albo whose easy access made it a privileged place of stopover for boats at a time when raids raged on the Mediterranean rim, this tower is classified as a Historic Monument. since 1992, and has recently undergone a restoration which gives it a striking whiteness.

The small, gray-colored stones of the beach got their color from serpentinite, which was mined in a now-closed Canari asbestos factory. A stone staircase with over 1000 steps leads from Nonza down to the mostly deserted beach.
