Calvi is a beautiful seaside town, bathed by turquoise waters and steeped in history. I recommend strolling through the narrow streets of the Citadel, built in 1483 by the Genoese, and then heading to the port. The view of the bay, overlooked by high mountains, including Mount Cinto (2,706 m), Corsica's highest peak, is impressive.

Just bring some time and play.

The church, located in the middle of a cemetery, was built in the 11th century in the Pisan-Romanesque style. It is considered one of the most beautiful churches in Corsica. It was recently extensively renovated with funds from the EU and the Corsican regional association.

From here, you'll reach a superb, intimate little beach in a cove that's ideal for swimming. It's the perfect spot to admire the sunset.

A popular meeting place for road cyclists and mountain bikers. Here, you can fill your water bottle with genuine Zilia water—slightly chilled, too. Last year, I spoke to a local about the water quality of the fountain. He said it had been tested and was of drinking quality. This was a welcome stop on my leg of the route from Calvi to San Antonino. Further up in the town of Zilia, there's a very small corner shop with a small but very good selection of fruit.

Awesome mountain bike trail but not for beginners, or you have to get off and walk 😉 Snorkelling is actually a must.
