Thérouanne was Sigeric's 77th stop on his return from Canturbey's pilgrimage to Rome. In the 19th century, this fortified town was a French enclave within the German Empire, but was razed by Charles V in 1553. This Spanish mill was built around 1635, on the banks of the Lacquette River. It produced flour until 1938, then milling for livestock. It was bought in 1974 to be transformed into a home. The Bailiff's House (French: bailliage) is a civil building in the town of Aire-sur-la-Lys, part of the Pas-de-Calais department, located on the corner of the Grand'Place, the Rue d'Arras and the Rue du Bourg.
