This singletrack can be done in both directions. There are a few steps to climb from Col du Clapier to Haut Montet, but it is very rolling. The unobstructed views of the massifs are impressive!

The hamlet of Courmes is a haven of tranquility perched on the rocky heights of the Préalpes d’Azur regional natural park. On the GR 51, the village can become an excellent stopover thanks to its communal inn which offers lodging and cutlery.

This is my favorite place to watch the sunrise. Park your car in the nearby parking lot and walk to the bol in an hour. From the sphere you have a fantastic 360 degree view of the Alps on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other. On clear mornings you can see Corsica sticking out of the sea like a silhouette.
