The "Hoher Peißenberg" is a popular excursion destination in the Pfaffenwinkel region and a popular destination for road bikers. From here, you have a fantastic panoramic view of the Alpine foothills and the Alpine chain. Even the ascent is very scenic. The pilgrimage church of the Assumption of Mary dominates the summit plateau.

A particularly quiet and scenic stretch of the route runs parallel to the Lech River from Burggen to Lechbruck am See. Here, you'll be away from traffic—on paths that are also part of the Lech Cycle Path, the Via Claudia Augusta, and several regional cycling routes in the Pfaffenwinkel and Ostallgäu tourist regions. Ideal for a relaxing ride with views of the water, meadows, and expansive landscapes.

Most weeks, this is the ultimate race track. In both directions! The gradient was never steep enough for the old steam locomotives. So, off we go! Be careful in winter, though. The cold ground in the wooded area lingers for a long time. It can be snowy and icy for weeks after the last snowfall.
