The marked point is not really the summit of Mont Vully, but still very interesting. Here a fortification of an opidum of the Helvetians from pre-Roman times with impressive dimensions was built. The site shows why Julius Caesar had respect for the Helveters when he conquered Gaul.

Mont Vully is the must-see summit on Lake Murten, with views on both sides, both towards the Jura and the Alps - weather permitting.
