This waterfall above Steinenbrügli is a wonderfully beautiful place. I went there a lot as a child because I lived nearby. The things I experienced there... There's also a small nature reserve with a canal running parallel to the Frenke (that's the name of the stream). There's so much to discover. Below the waterfall, about 50 meters away, there are gravel banks when the water level is low, which invite you to linger and enjoy the peace and quiet...🔆

Up towards Murenberg, view back to Bubendorf

Magical spot in the woods by the Frenke - perfect for a break or a paddle. An arched stone bridge crosses the river here, and the bubbling waters descend a series of small falls.

The Zunzgerberg offers a fantastic mountain biking experience, where you can enjoy both magnificent views and the serenity of nature. As you make your way up the trails, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys, perfect for a quick break or to immortalize the landscape.

A mecca for families. Except for the oak grove, which is right behind the barbecue area, there is enough space for kids to let off steam. The fireplace is well equipped and there is plenty of suitable firewood in the nearby forest. It would be desirable to have a warning sign with clear instructions to prevent the over 500-year-old and marked oak grove from being misused as a playground and picnic area. Park rangers actively patrol the area to ensure the protection of the oak grove.

Between the oak grove and Wildenstein Castle, the castle pond lies somewhat hidden and inaccessible behind a dense thicket. It's an idyllic spot that deserves protection. There's no path to its shore, and that's a good thing, because countless animal species make their home here and appreciate being left in peace. And let's be honest. Would we really like it if every Tom, Dick, and Harry descended on us uninvited, made a lot of noise, and perhaps even left behind a mess? At least there's this: For hikers and walkers, there are two lovely park benches right by the path by the pond, inviting you to linger.
