Once you arrive in the town it is worth going a little longer to visit the Tower, formerly part of a residential building. One of the testimonies of the ancient life of the Valley.

The Torre Fiorenzana is almost certainly the oldest building in Grono. The first records date back to 1286 and 1314. It was part of a complex of fortifications which also included a small church. A small detour is certainly worth it.

The Church of the Madonna del Ponte Chiuso or of Sant'Anna is an imposing baroque construction, among the most interesting in Mesolcina. With the stone arch bridge and the former pilgrims' hospice, the church forms a picturesque ensemble at the entrance to the wild Traversagna valley.

The Bocchetta di Camedo allows you to connect the Val d'Aiàn and the Valle Fiumetto (Lombardy). On clear days on the Italian side the view reaches as far as Lake Como, and from the The view towards Italy is unfortunately spoiled by mist, on a clear day you would see Lake Como, on the other the slopes of Cima di Paina or Cima dello Stagn.

The Boggiano tower is located on a terrace with a panoramic view of the valley. It was built by Alberto De Sacco in 1406 as a signal and lookout tower and is connected by sight to that of Santa Maria in Calanca, on the other side of the valley.

Pizzo Paglia, with its 2593 meters of height, is the highest peak in the Alto Lario mountains. The summit can be reached via the wild Val Grono or from Italy, passing through the Dosso valley. The panorama at the summit is 360 degrees and particularly interesting towards the east over the Pizzo Campanile, Cavregasco and Ledü group. The difficulty of the itinerary depends greatly on the presence or absence of snow.
