Get off your bike to reach the viewpoint located a few meters from the road. Here you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the meanders of the Doubs, and to the north, France. La Roche Guillaume is the site of a medieval fortress with a chapel, a tower and a wall following the shape of the rock.

Beautiful landscapes typical of the Jura with its dry stone walls, farms, cows and horses. The roads are quiet and not very busy.

La Roche Guillaume is a historic and natural site in the Doubs natural park. This is the site of an ancient medieval fortress of the Templars, who acquired it in the 12th century after a conflict between the Armenians and the principality of Antioch. The fortress was built on a rocky peak which overlooked the Doubs and the road to Antioch. It included a chapel, a tower and a wall matching the shape of the rock. Today you can hike to the La Roche Guillaume viewpoint and enjoy the panoramic view of the river and surrounding hills and forests.

The hike to this viewpoint is a great running exercise that you will enjoy while experiencing this exceptional view.

This bridge which spans the Doubs at La Rasse was built in 1908 and has a metal structure which contrasts with the natural environment. You can enjoy the view of Lake Biaufond, a water reservoir created by a dam in 1953. La Rasse is an ideal place to discover the beauty and history of the French-Swiss border.

A short hike to this viewpoint will give you a breathtaking view of the Ronde and the Doubs.
