🌊 Promenade de la Moselle – Waterfront promenade in Thionville The Promenade de la Moselle is a well-maintained riverside path along the Moselle in the heart of Thionville – ideal for walking, cycling, or simply relaxing. Between mature trees, flowerbeds, and benches, you can observe the river flow, watch boats pass by, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. 🚲 The path is part of the Moselle Cycle Route and combines urban life with nature – with views of bridges, locks, and occasionally even families of swans. 🏰 Thionville – A Border Town with History on the Moselle Thionville (German: Diedenhofen) is located in northeastern France, not far from the borders with Germany and Luxembourg. The city looks back on a turbulent past – between the Romans, the Lorrainers, the Prussians, and the French. The new Europe Bridge, only for pedestrians and cyclists, connects the old town with Thionville train station. The busy car bridge is no longer necessary for pedestrians to get to the train station.
