ホテル Maderanertal、Balmenegg、Bristen 1864年より海抜1349mに位置。 Balmeneggにある由緒あるホテルMaderanertal（Chersolon）は、波乱に満ちた歴史を持っています。 当時「Zum Schweizerischen Alpenclub」と呼ばれていたホテルは、1864年にAmstegのホテル経営者で州議員のAlbin Indergandと、バーゼル出身の妻Rosa（旧姓Burkhardt）によって建設されました。 これは、アングロサクソン人と低地の人々が山を発見し、余暇に次々と山の頂上を登っていた時代でした。 バーゼル出身の山の友人たちの要望により、彼らのほとんどが最近設立されたSACに所属していたため、Albin Indergandは当初計画していた「Zum Balmenwald」ではなく、「Zum Schweizerischen Alpenclub」と名付けましたが、SACに対する依存や義務は発生しませんでした。 すぐに、建物はますます増え続けるゲストの要求と殺到に対応できなくなりました。 1869年に、いわゆる別館（Dépendance）が建てられました。 その後、別の新しい建物であるヴィラが続きました。 その後の数年間、Balmeneggのホテル施設はますます拡張されました。 すぐにパン屋、ボウリング場、郵便局ができました。 1888年には、建物の上の丘に小さな美しい教会が建てられ、カトリックの礼拝だけでなく、多くのイギリスからのゲストのために、常に英国国教会の礼拝も行われていました。 テキスト / 出典: Hotel Maderanertal, Balmenegg, 6475 Bristen https://hotelmaderanertal.jimdofree.com/

Tell Monument and Türmli, Altdorf The Türmli was built in the middle of the 13th century as a representation and residential tower. Today the Türmli is a monument and supports the Swiss national hero William Tell, who is here as a bronze statue by Richard Kissling commemorating the apple shot. The Altdorf landmark, Altdorf The Tell monument, created by the Solothurn sculptor Richard Kissling, was inaugurated in 1895 with a magnificent celebration and its own festival. The event attracted great national interest and the Federal Council even sent a delegation of three to Altdorf. Interestingly, the year 1307 adorns the base of the Tell monument and not the legendary founding year of the Swiss Confederation, 1291. The reason: according to calculations by the Glarus historian Aegidius Tschudi, the Rütli Oath and the Apple Shooting took place in 1307.
