Many painters, including Monet, have immortalized the beautiful rocks.

The white rocks and especially the famous "elephant's trunk" are not only beautiful, but have been immortalized by many painters, including Monet.

Unfortunately, the road is closed from here on. So we had to drive all the way back down, which was a bit frustrating. The campsite has cut off all connecting paths to the bike path there.

Yport is not as crowded as Etretat and has very cute streets.

Highly recommended is the ride on the Velo-Rails, which takes you directly down to Etretat. All you have to do is pedal, like riding a bike. It's basically the same, only on old rails. Then you return in an old retro train. Absolutely beautiful. And since our little one was only 4 months old at the time, we were able to easily strap a baby car seat onto the seat and transport the folded stroller frame with us.

Yport is the miniature of Étretat. The chalk cliffs here aren't quite as imposing, and there aren't any spectacular rock formations, but the town is much more tranquil and less overrun by tourists. The narrow streets are lined with pretty fishermen's houses, built in the traditional style of clinker and flint. Simply beautiful! :)

From the beach, you can enjoy various perspectives of the limestone gates. Depending on the tide, you can walk through them at low tide.
