Una particolarità è il campanile della chiesa, che ricorda in molti dettagli il Campanile di Venezia. Al momento dell'inaugurazione, l'orologio della torre aveva il quadrante più grande di Essen. Le campane furono fuse nel 1912 dalla Bochumer Verein e sono conservate nella loro forma originale.
Davanti alla chiesa si trova la scultura in marmo "Focus of Life" dell'artista originaria di Essen Simone Elsing.
