The Horster Mühle is on the Route of Industrial Culture. The monument is part of the "History and Present of the Ruhr" theme route, as both the past and the current use of the former mill are of great interest to history lovers. The site of the power plant can be visited, but the interior of each house and factory is not open to the public. You can explore the site of the power plant, for example, on a bike tour. On the opposite side you will also find the Horst lock.
