On the flat summit of the Hohe Warte, only 1 km behind the Albtrauf, there was a high stand in 1896, then a lookout tower in 1905, until finally in 1923 the masonry lookout tower was built. He should also be a tribute to the fallen soldiers of the First World War. A memorial stone at the foot of the tower also calls to memory and reflection. Today, the Schwäbische Albverein organizes a commemoration of the victims of the two world wars for members and non-members on the 2nd Sunday in October. There are directional signs on the tower platform. Next to the tower a fireplace was set up.
