Regularly in summer, the alps between Niederntudorf and Borchen dry, an impressive river bed remains. Only in the fall with the abundant rainfall, when the karst bodies are filled in the underground, the alms can also superficially flow again. In some places, one can only imagine that water normally flows here. Large amounts of tree trunks and branches fill the dry channel. Crisscross the deadwood protrudes from the shore down into the river bed.Source: lwl.org/LWL/Kultur/Westfalen_Regional/Naturraum/Karst

Like the Danube winds just a little smaller and in front of the door .. The dry stream bed can also "wade through" from the garden of the Kapellenhof.

Today we only enjoyed 40 km from PB to Weine from the wonderful Alme cycle path. We will certainly expand that very soon. Great landscape, great paths!
