The large church in the old village center of Perlach is characteristic of the townscape. A church is mentioned as early as 1020. In the 12./13. The Romanesque predecessor church is likely to have been built in the 17th century and was demolished in 1728 due to its dilapidation. The foundation stone was laid for the current church in the same year. The first service was celebrated as early as 1731. The two late Gothic seated figures "Anna Selbdritt" on the left and "St. Koloman" on the right choir arch altar come from the previous church. In 1990, in the anniversary year "1200 years of Perlach", the church underwent a thorough renovation.
