Tips

The 939 m high Dyleň (German Tillenberg or Tillen) is the second highest elevation of the Upper Palatinate Forest. Austrian geographers had at the time of k.u.k. Monarchy calculated the Tillen as the geographical center of Europe. They documented this at that time on a copper plate, which they attached to the summit. 1926 built the German Alpine Club, section Eger, a club house, the Tillenschutzhaus, on the mountain. This was removed by the Czech side after the Second World War and transported to Pilsen. In the 1960s, Czechoslovakia built on the large summit area a military reconnaissance station, which lost its authority after the end of the Cold War in 1989. Today, broadcasting antennas of Czech radio stations are located on the summit.
